Who is Ms Mel?

Ms. Mel is also known as Melanie McCleerey.

I am a graduate of The New School University in New York CIty, and a graduate of the acclaimed American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) also in New York City. I was searching for a Broadway career, but love intervened and I've never looked back. (Did I write this?)

So how could I use that expensive education in some way?  I have taught classes for toddlers through other highly developed children's music programs for several years. I was trained at the Center for Music Together in Hopewell, NJ. I am also a drama coach, a vocalist, write children's scripts for church events, was a coordinator for a Mothers of Preschool (MOPS) program, Girl Scout leader of two troops, and I play the guitar (ish!). I have recently rejoined the theatre world whenI auditioned for PWLT's show '9-5' and haven't stopped since. I cannot juggle, but my husband can. 

In my free time, I am a wife and mother of four small children.  Did I mention that I love working with kids?
